Think the comfort of your family room, but more like a lovely hotel lobby.  And you just show up as you, because the business suit, muddy boots, sweaty shirts, trendy chic, and slipper wearing can co-exist and it’s not weird.  Everyone knows you or wants to know you because you’re highly valued and awesome.  Whether you’re alone or meeting people, you’re in community and you belong.  When working individually, you’re still on a team, sharing a bench with others doing brilliant things in the world.  Except the business bench is called a banquette because it’s fancy and your craft coffee experience has made you feel special.  When you’re meeting friends, one gets a specialty latte and the other, a seasonal craft cocktail.  You sit in the little blue chairs because they’re the best seats in the house when feeling relaxed and chatty.  And if kids join the party, you sit near the playhouse with smoothies, hot cocoa, and a glass of wine for yourself.  You mind the “house rules” because you share the space with a variety of people who have shown up for very different and equally important reasons.  This is where you’re known.  It’s where you belong.
