The heart of FTC is generosity and hospitality as we serve the mission to embrace community. But the currency of our generosity is rarely monetary. Did you know it takes a new business 3-5 years to become profitable? Upon our expansion in 2022, we have been working incredibly hard to build a viable lasting business with great impact. The pressure mounds as so many have made FTC part of their routine and thank us for creating a space where they feel at home. We want to succeed for you! We have been working hard to lay the foundation for 2025 to be the first year we make money. Until then, our team and community have entrusted us to make wise decisions with our finances to responsibly ensure the team and the bills are paid and FTC can move forward.

With mission in mind, we want to support you as you support your cause. Money and time may be limited as we build a business, but we are full of creativity and love for people. While our focus is on our task at hand, we are happy to consider ways to support you while we move our business forward. Please complete a donation request form to help us brainstorm with you and consider whether FTC is able to assist you with your philanthropic efforts. You’re doing big things! Please also consider, we do no allow solicitation of our customers so they continue to feel safe and comfortable entering a space we created to feel like home. But room rentals are available in our Connect Center at 50% off when rented as a “Pop Up Shop”. You may invite your community into your own “store-front for the day” to showcase your cause and solicit support of your initiative. Let’s embrace community!

How We’re EMbracing Community

LOCAL Schools

FTC is committed to serving the students and next generation within our community. Fort Thomas has 7 elementary, middle, high, and catholic schools in town for which we participate in annual school fundraiser silent auctions. We gift our time through experience packages to help them raise money for their school.

Each school has many many clubs and organizations within. It’s a challenge for us to support each of these. But some have come with creative ideas to support their cause and our business. Win-win!

STudents

We organize a Giving Tree at FTC with the help of Fort Thomas Independent Schools. Our community gets to purchase gifts for their fellow students who need support during the Christmas season. About 50 gifts go out to grateful families who feel loved by their compassionate community.

Volunteers

With a desire to be accessible to students, we offer opportunity for students to receive complimentary beverages when volunteer their support in cleaning up our play area, wiping down tables, or sweeping after school.

Internships

Local Highlands High School students receive college credit through Northern Kentucky University for their work with FTC’s business manager. Students gain understanding of business financials, sit in on interviews and leadership meetings, and work on projects that will help move the business forward.

Veterans

Years ago, a generous community member began leaving money behind the counter asking us to purchase coffee for veterans in gratitude for their service. The desire of our community to honor veterans has grown so much, that we have created a link to give into our veteran fund. Give Coffee to Veterans

With this fund, we also send coffee to our local VA Hospital to celebrate veterans who came from all over the country for our top-rated Veteran PTSD recovery program in the United States. We are proud of and grateful for our military men and women and endeared to our community who serves them well.
